Job Title: Photography Studio Assistant 

Schedule : Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm EST, additional time may be required based on department needs

Pay : Based on Experience

Job Summary

The Photo Studio Assistant will work in the on-site photography studio and samples room, assisting in the assembly of light fixtures and furniture. Photo Studio Assistants will be expected to assemble furniture and fixtures for catalog and cover shoots, as well as moving them in and out of place. Photo Studio Assistants are also expected to complete administrative tasks, as well as, various other computer work. 

Job Requirements

• Assemble and disassemble furniture and lighting fixtures to be used in photoshoots 
• Arrange and move furniture and lighting fixtures prior, during, and after photoshoots 
• Use hand and power tools such as drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc. to assemble and disassemble products used in shoots 
• Building and manipulating sets to be used in photoshoots such as but not limited to painting, wallpapering, installing trim, and other hands-on work needed to create sets. 
• Preparing items and inventory for photoshoots. 
• Staging items and inventory for photoshoots. 
• Reading and interpreting information used to assemble product in preparation for photoshoots.
• Complete administrative tasks such as labeling, numbering contact sheets, tracking the different stages in the shooting process, and tracking inventory items as they come in and out of the studio for shoots. 
• Assist with all basic cleaning duties as needed to make sure the Photo Studio is kept clean, safe, and orderly. 
• Ability to work autonomously. 
• All other duties as assigned by management. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Required 
• 1-3 years prior experience in a studio assistant, set design, or other related experience 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, crouch, climb ladders, and lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment 
• Ability to work cross-functionally with other internal departments 
• Ability to multi-task effectively to complete multiple tasks 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Microsoft Office Experience
